One person hospitalized after tractor trailer rollover shuts down part of Route 13
NEWFIELD, N.Y. (WENY) - One person is in the hospital after a tractor trailer rolled over on Route 13 this morning. The tractor trailer overturned on the 1100 block of Elmira Road in the town of Newfield. The call came in just before 5:30 this morning.
Lanes were shut down in both directions from West Danby Road and Miller Hill Road. The tractor trailer was being towed around 8:30 this morning. The scene is now clear and lanes are back open in both directions. New York State Police say no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
The Tompkin's County Sheriff's Department and New York State Police are the lead investigators. The cause is still under investigation.
