One hospitalized after pickup truck goes through fence at Elmira-Corning Regional Airport

BIG FLATS, N.Y. (WENY) – One person was sent to the hospital after a pickup truck drove through a fence on the airfield of the Elmira-Corning Regional Airport Friday afternoon.
Firefighters tell WENY News they believe the driver suffered a medical condition, causing the crash. The truck reportedly drove through the fence and came to a rest in a ditch near the runway.
The driver was transported to a local hospital via ambulance; their condition is currently unknown.
