UPDATE: Police: Driver suffers medical condition, crashes into apartment building

UPDATE (9:50 a.m.) Horseheads Police have released more information regarding the crash.
Police say they responded to an accident on Watkins Road and arrived to find the truck had hit building B within the apartment complex.
The investigation reportedly revealed the driver was driving south on Watkins Road and tried to make a right turn. Police say when he turned, he suffered some sort of medical condition, causing him to leave the road and hit the building.
The driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Police say the building sustained "significant" damage and some residents were evacuated, until the building was deemed safe by Village of Horseheads Code Enforcement.
Currently, one apartment is not able to be occupied at this time, but there are no reports of residents being injured.
Police say the driver was ticketed for vehicle and traffic violations and will be referred to the New York State DMV for a drivers safety review.
The Horseheads Police Department was assisted on scene by the Horseheads Fire Department, Village of Horseheads Code Enforcement and Erway Ambulance.

When WENY News arrived on the scene, the truck had been removed, but there was debris scattered across the front lawn.
Crews on the scene, would not comment on the situation.
