TCAT bus catches fire, officials investigating
TRUMANSBURG, N.Y. (WENY) -- It was quite the scene today on Route 96 after a TCAT bus was engulfed in flames on the side of the road.
It happened around 4:45 A.M. on Friday afternoon. According to reports, no one was injured.
State Route 96 was temporarily shutdown during the fire, the Ithaca Fire Department responded as well. At one point, crews had to fight a grass fire sparked by the burning bus.
The cause is unknown at this time, and the incident is under investigation.
