WYSOX TOWNSHIP, PA (WENY) -- A Friday night structure fire at the Endless Supply Company in Wysox has left the building completely destroyed.

The fire forced crews to work into Saturday morning to flight the blaze.

Wysox Fire Department's Assistant chief, Evan Barnes, says the scene is under control and most of the fire is out.

"Probably ninety-five percent of the fire is extinguished at this time," said Barnes. "There's a couple small hot spots of smoldering material that are probably going to linger for a while longer. But it's mostly all extinguished at this time and one-hundred percent under control."

Barnes says an excavator was brought to the scene late Friday night to help crews deal with any remaining hot spots.

"We worked with the machine last night for two or three hours, pulling roof material out of the structure and working with crews inside of the building to get through the hot spots," said Barnes.

Then, around two o'clock Saturday morning, crews were able to secure the scene until daytime where they could begin safely working again.

"If you take the darkness out, it makes things a lot safer," said Barnes. "When, really, you're working at that point for no gain. So we just put it on hold for a couple hours and let the sun come up."

Barnes says a fire investigator is expected to be on scene Sunday to begin determining the cause of the fire.

There's no official word yet on how many animals were lost in the blaze, or where the fire started.
