Strengthening low pressure moves through the Great Lakes over the weekend. A strong cold front associated with the low sweeps through on Saturday, with rounds of rain developing. Wind speeds increase late Saturday, with gusts in excess of 40 MPH frequently Saturday night through Sunday. It appears the highest likelihood for the strongest gusts will arrive Saturday night, when gusts could approach 50 MPH over the higher elevations. Localized power outages will be possible Saturday night or Sunday morning. Much colder air wraps in behind the low on Sunday, with a chance of rain/wet snowshowers. Also, significant lake effect snow will impact favored areas East of Lake Erie & Ontario.
