ALBANY -- The rising number of H1N1 flu cases in New York has prompted Governor Paterson to declare a state of emergency.
But health experts tell us there's no need to panic.
Declaring a state of emergency is an executive order that temporarily suspends certain regulations.
This means health care professionals who aren't normally allowed to give flu shots, such as a dentist can now administer the vaccine.
The state is also expected to get an increased number of doses.
So far...at least 75 deaths in New York are being attributed to H1N1.
