Local | State | National | World Regional News Search Regional News: Back Gun Applications Up In NY Ted Fioraliso Monday, October 12, 2009      Fingerprints processed for gun applications are up about 50 percent over last year.      Our media partner, The Star-Gazette, reports while many small business owners are seeing poor sales and dwindling profits, gun stores' sales are skyrocketing.      Experts say it started happening after President Obama was elected.      Records also show the number of gun owners seeking to add or remove guns from their licenses is also on the rise in counties across the state.      Outside New York City, counties handle pistol-permit applications, but the process can vary slightly by county.
