Domestic Homicides On The Rise In NY

     The number of domestic homicides in New York State is on the rise.
     A new report from the State Division of Criminal Justice Services shows murders involving intimate partners, children, or other family members rose 7.3% percent last year -- a total of 147 cases.
     The State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence also reports an increase in the number of calls to local and state domestic violence hotlines and in applications to the State Crime Victims Board seeking reimbursement for injuries.
