HORSEHEADS-- If you live in Horseheads, a popular holiday tradition is back on track after almost getting cancelled.
The sponsor of the Holly Days Festival in Horseheads cancelled the event when it couldn't come up with the money.
But Mayor Don Zeigler and the village board had an emergency meeting and were able to come up with the money to fund the event.
“Tradition is always important in a community. Watkins Glen has the Italian Festival, Horseheads has been noted for Holly Days for years. People look forward to it. It's going to be bigger and better than ever,” Zeigler said.
This year is the 25th anniversary of Holly Days.
