ITHACA -- Union workers at an Ithaca nursing home cut a deal with management to keep their jobs and pensions. As we first told you last Tuesday, the new management company at Lakeside Nursing Home required all the workers to reapply for their jobs. Union leaders said there was no guarantee the workers would be able to keep their jobs -- and even if they did, they'd get a pay cut and lose their pensions. However, the final agreement includes a wage increase and preserves benefits. Lakeside is now known as Cayuga Ridge.
