ELMIRA -- Thanksgiving isn't even here yet, but already, employees and volunteers at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center are thinking Christmas.
The hospital Auxiliary's annual holiday fair kicked off Wednesday. There are ornaments, decorations, and gifts for people of all ages. There's even a tea room with baked goods and soups from local restaurants.
It's the Auxiliary's biggest fundraiser all year.
“These monies stay right here and go back to what's needed in a certain department. We've given money to the Falck Cancer Center for a new van they've needed, we've helped the Women's Center. It all depends on what department is needy right now,” said gift shop manager Carol Zimar.
The Holiday Fair continues Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the lower level under the lobby.
