ELMIRA-- One of the two men charged with arson has pleaded guilty in the fatal fire in Elmira that left two dead on Caldwell Avenue in July.
Morgan pleaded guilty in an unexpected move Wednesday afternoon in Chemung County court.
The District Attorney's office isn't saying if a plea deal had been reached Morgan, they're just saying he had a change of heart and decided to do the right thing.
Morgan's guilty plea came just a few hours after another suspect, 28-year-old Jason Cade was arraigned on arson charges in connection to the fatal fire.
Larry Baker, Sr. and his wife Wendy were killed in the fire at 261 Caldwell Avenue. The home was destroyed.
Morgan faces 20 years to life in prison; sentencing is set for December 14th.
